We spent our first vacation with the baby and grandmother in Cyprus. Like most young parents, we thought the baby wouldn’t limit us. We took my mother a little to help, a little to enjoy because she had not been outside Poland before.
Cyprus is divided into two parts: the Greek part and the Turkish part, and the reason for this is a decades-long dispute. We were on the Turkish part, and if you land there, there is an in-between landing in Turkey, so our flight took a total of 4h one way. It was a challenge with a 10-month-old baby who had just started walking, as well as weaning him. It was hard to get my son to sit in one place.
There is left-hand traffic in Cyprus, and this stopped us from renting a car. We did not take the risk with a small child and grandmother. We made a small trip by bus and the rest on our feet.
Where is Cyprus located?
Cyprus is a small island, located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, about 70 km from Turkey. It is a mostly mountainous country.
